ATI provides our students with a road map for progress in their tango education. We will continue implementing our new Academic Tango Curriculum designed to provide a systematic approach to tango education that will aid students in their progress and show them the steps to becoming skillful social dancers. With clearly defined class levels and course topics students will be aware of the goals and expectations for each level and know how to achieve them.
In ATI, we believe that teaching tango is a very serious activity that can impact the student's life in a positive or negative way, depending on the teaching experience, principles and pedagogy of the institution and instructors.
Our new class structure has been designed to ensure you get the best basics and fundamentals instruction in Tango 101, preparing you for the exciting moves of Tango 201! Learn how to dance tango before you learn complex combinations. Because tango is organic and improvisational we don’t want to teach you mechanical repetition, but how to use your body, balance, and projection to create your own tango style.
Then hold onto your best embrace, because in Tango 202 and 301, you will not only continue applying the basic and best technique learned in the previous levels, but you will acquire new exciting body movement techniques and will learn more elaborate tango combinations!

Advanced registration is required for 4 week sessions - $60 per person for one class - $80 per person for both classes on one night
Seis Pass: $80 6-week class session pass. Save with the Seis pass, valid for 6 classes or 6 milongas. Beginners taking their first session with us are invited to take two classes per week for the price of one session with the purchase of the Seis Pass.
2011 PRICE CHANGE:
Drop-in classes are $17 per person for drop-in class or $22 for two classes on the same night.
No partner needed for classes! No special attire required, except for shoes w/ either leather or suede soles.
Intermediate Investigations MayTopic: The Circle of Tango - Investigations into circular movements. All movements come from the giro, and this session we explore essentials turns & their applications. 6 week session May 2 - June 16
