Tango: One of the most beautiful of human expressions.
Tango is an art form that allows people to express their most profound sentiments towards themselves and towards others.
Tango is like beauty, science, and the arts. No one person created tango; no one can claim the patent of any of its human elements. And even though there have been numerous dancers and musicians who have influenced, enhanced and contributed their beautiful gifts and talent to develop what we know as the tango today, no one can claim they own tango or that tango belongs to them. Tango is universal!
Tango was born over 100 years ago. It was created by people who wanted to express their emotions, who were in search of spiritual freedom and who longed for their homeland and their roots.
Tango was created in the region of the Rio de la Plata, on the banks of Buenos Aires and Montevideo, and was created by immigrants from around the world. Tango has evolved and grown in Uruguay and Argentina and now spans the globe.
Tango does not have to be danced in a certain place, or on a certain day and or with anybody in particular. Tango is free-flowing art form, It has no patents, no owners, does not belong to one group, one individual, or one place. Tango only belongs to your heart!
